Closer to Nature

Thursday, March 28th 2013 - Closer to nature
Spending time indoors or outdoors

winter, spring, summer and fall
fall = autumn
In the fall, the leaves fall to the ground

You can feel the difference from season to season

The good thing about being indoors is …
It’s good to stay indoors when it’s raining/when the weather is bad/when it’s cold
The temperature in my house is much better
When it’s raining,
I stay under the covers/sheets

I stay warm under the quilt

I don’t have to worry about lightning rods

The good thing about being outdoors is …
seeing the landscape
getting fresh air
getting some sun
being close to nature
having moments to meditate
having sparks of genius ( a spark = a brilliant idea)

What is the big deal about being close to nature? What can the outdoors offer that the indoors can’t?
a psychological boost
a creative environment
better performance in tests

We are usually prone to the environment in which we find ourselves - we adapt to that setting. Do you agree?
be prone to = be inclined to

What feelings can a windowless classroom or office can bring?

Every office should have a hammock. What do you think?
